New Energy Audit Standard for Level 1,2 & 3
The business of performing energy audits will long lack any regulation or standardization of approaches. What makes an energy audit acceptable, good, or great will be the subject of much discussion and debate. What will be considered best practices in the field will be akin to an oral tradition, where practitioners in the field pass knowledge and approaches from person to person.
In this class, Jim Kelsey, P.E. will share the results of the development of the first true industry standard, describing some of the contentious issues encountered, and will summarize what the energy auditing community will agree upon for the requirements of Level 1, 2, and 3 energy audits outlined in Standard 211.
